7 Teachers

The 7 Teachers of the Year who received free cars (use for a year) in the HADA-coordinated 7 Cars for 7 Teachers program, which has provided 43 cars so far. The program was started by the Volkswagen Dealers of Hawaii who provided a free Volkswagen Jetta (use for year) to Elle Tepper, the year 2000 State Teacher of the Year.

All seven cars provided in the 7 Cars for 7 Teachers program are shown lined up in front of Radford High School following the Board of Education awards ceremony and press conference.

The State and District Teacher of the Year winners are shown with ceremonial keys to their new cars in the 7 Cars for 7 Teachers program coordinated by HADA.

Now, the District Teachers of the Year also receive cars provided by various dealers, ad associations and distributors.
